Snakeisn't there some sort of nuance for yahari as opposed to yappari ...気のせいかな 
Mikiyes, it's 気のせい。yahari and yappari are almost the same. I think yappari is more casual than yahari. 
Mikithe opposite of やっぱり might be そんな(はずはない). hmm this is suspicious. 
bamboo4やっぱり is simply a double consonant degrading of やはり and as such it is less formal than やはり. The newer generation has even further degraded やっぱり to やっぱ. Unfortunately, it is here to stay.
