Notes:
seems to be used in a couple of ways: with kanarazushimo A ga kanarazushimo B yori (adjective) tohakagiranai 高い物が[必ずしも]安いものより良いとは限らない。 Expensive things are not always better than cheap things. お金持ちが必ずしも幸せとは限らない。 also with a verb お金が幸福をもたらすとは限らない。 Money does not always bring happiness. いつでも自分の思い通りにできるとは限らないよ。 You cannot always have your own way. Miki	Yes. とは限らない can be reaplced by (という）わけではない.
LittleFish	Frequently appears with 必ずしも. (Question: Could this be applied to nouns in this way: (これは鉛筆として使うとは限らない、マーカーとしても使えますよ。)? It isn't limited to the function of a pencil, it can also (perform the function of) a marker. Something that isn't limited to one single use or function.)
Miki	It's grammatically correct. 鉛筆 used also as マーカー…. If you mean a mechanical pencil, it should be シャーペン.
geishaboy	ex #3836 - おいしそうに見える食べ物 could simply be　おいしそうな食べ物? I'm more asking than correcting
